Is there anyway to stop the annoying “feature” when using In-Window Find that makes it jump to the next occurrence of a match before you have finished typing? I’m trying to do some delicate and tricky text replacements with in section of code in the middle of a big file and soon as I start to type it jumps me from where I want to be! When was this annoying “feature" added and is there a way of stopping it moving until you hit return?
Yeah, sometimes it would really be nice to have an old style standard Find dialog that doesn't think it knows what you want. All I can suggest is to keep another app open, like TextEdit, TextWrangler, etc, switch to that app when you want to enter a search term, then switch back to Xcode and hit command-g.
Sent from iCloud's ridiculous UI, so, sorry about the formatting
