As for math questions, you’d be better off posting to the Cocoa List as this list of really for the use of the XCode application.
No — the cocoa-dev list is for discussing programming using the high-level frameworks in Obj-C or Swift. It’s not for C-level questions.
xcode-users is the most appropriate list I can think of for this, since it does cover dev tools, and people do talk about compiler issues here.
Except it got answered on the Cocoa list but not on this one! lol
