Dave did a good job giving the run down. As for debugging, I did all my debugging via logging, not a particular debugger or static analyzer. I think there are tools out there you could use, but for what i was doing, logging was easiest.

Jeff,
Thanks,
Can you be specific on what you do with Xcode.
Do you use it as an editor or can you debug with it ?

Bernard

Using an external build system project with either make or cmake should handle this quite easily. I haven't used cmake with Xcode but have used Xcode and make to build and test MPI based projects in the past.

Hi every body,

I have a multi-thread code working well on various Mac I have and SGI computer working with shared memory.

I need now to switch to MPI in order to run on massively parallel computers.

I succeed to install MPI (openmpi-1.6.5), so I can run simple test code from Terminal.

I need help for installing this compiler on Xcod.
I found nothing I can use on my platform (Mac 10.12, Xcode 8.0).

Thanks,

Bernard
