Downgrading Xcode version

  • Subject: Downgrading Xcode version

I wanted to see if there are problems with downgrading a version of Xcode to a previous version, specifically Xcode 8 to Xcode 7.x. Specifically, do I need to do anything about the version of command-line tools that were installed with the later version? Should the Xcode 8 tools be compatible with Xcode 7.x? Should I also install the 7.x command-line tools?

Thanks.

Doug Hill
