Xcode 7.2.x, iOS product.

This is simply maddening and has been plaguing us since last Friday.

We have a version of the same product we have always been creating for the past 2+ years.

Of course, a major client asks for an update that requires us to add a sharing extension. This requires us to add "capabilities" or entitlements.

I add the requirements to the app, the extension, the app IDs, create all the provisioning profiles and turn on the required capabilities.

This adds the entitlements file to our project.

Archive the IPA, export as as Ad Hoc and we get the error message:

Failed to locate or generate matching signing assets:

No matching provisioning profiles found for "Applications/OurApp.app"

WTF? Sweet mother of aggravation.

If we remove the entitlements file the IPA exports, but the file sharing extension doesn't work.

If we use Xcode 8 and set automatic code signing, this works, but Xcode 8 breaks our SIP app from functioning in the background since Apple forced the VOIP pushes requirement and we haven't had time to move that into our production app yet.

I've taken the identical settings that were used in Xcode 8 with Xcode's automatic code signing and set them in Xcode 7. Same issue.

I've followed all the discussions for this on StackOverflow and performed EVERY recommended solution for this. Aside from deleting the entitlements nothing works and no one can explain why this happens.

Anyone have any ideas here? I think this is yet another bogus error message and I'd really like to get back to releasing product and not battling Xcode.

Thank you.
