Hi,
I really, really, really hate Apple’s wonderful new documentation style. Not
only does it now take at least 3 times longer to actually use it and not only
that, the document viewer doesn’t seem to function correctly or at least in any
way that is useful.
For instance, in XCode 8.3.3 I open the “Documentation and API Reference”
window, this (thankfully opens in a new a Window, although you’d think they’d
be consistent and shove it all into the one window they seem to want us to
stick with!). I select Objective-C and scroll to the very bottom of the section
it displays and them Command+Click “Game Center Programming Guide” so it opens
in a New Tab. So far so good, it now show both tabs, however if I click back to
the “Game Kit” tab to look something else up in the same manner, when you click
back into “Game Center Programming Guide” tab, it immediately switches the tab
back to “Game Kit” so now I have two tabs showing the same page!
Is this really the best Apple can do? The new documentation style sucks, its
overly complex and it was MUCH better when we just used PDFs for many reasons
but the main one is that it didn’t depend on tools Apple produces (which are
usually sub-standard) to use it.
Is there anyway to just get PDFs for the Game Kit documentation?
