Text location cursor location sometimes on wrong line

I’m using Xcode 8.2.1, and have started recently seeing odd behavior with the text location cursor. Sometimes, for no obvious reason, it flashes on the line above where I set it. Thinking I missed placing it correctly, I move the cursor down, and suddenly it is a line BELOW where I want it. Apparently, the insert position is correct, but the flashing indicator is, *sometimes*, a line above the insert position!
Anyone else seeing this? Is there something that triggers this behavior, such as a file that is too long, or a syntax problem earlier that confuses the editor? Is there a way to fix it? It’s really slowing my work down, having to constantly check if the insert position is where it says it is.
