You'd probably get more responses (and it would just be better for everyone)
if you did not suppress the recipients when posting to lists.
Most email software uses the recipient (the To header) to file email in the
correct folder. Your emails do not get filed correctly if you suppress the
recipient list. As an example, in my emailer, your email showed up in my In
Box instead of in the applescript-users folder. I almost threw it away
thinking it was SPAM. ;)
Also, since email software examines the recipient list to determine to whom
replies should be sent it makes it harder for people to respond to the list.
When I hit Reply to reply to your email, my email software wanted to send
the reply only to you instead of to the list. The whole purpose the list is
to share knowledge - if I had answered your question in private, nobody on
the list would have been able to benefit from the solution to your
particular problem.
