Jolly Roger and I have asked a few times now. I realize that there probably
only about 3 people out there who can answer this, so I hope one of you
might choose to do so.
1) Why does <<property xxxx>> compile to <<class xxxx>> ? Is it a different
type, or isn't it?
2) Why does <<class xxxx>>, entered and compiled as such, always error now
(AS 1.8.2 and maybe a few preceding versions) for application properties,
when it didn't used to? Was it a bug that it worked before, or is it a bug
now that it doesn't?
As it happens, I've been using this to check whether people are trying to
use OS 9/X versions of the same script with the wrong version of Entourage,
and I've just realized that my reverse error trap will never, ever spring
unless I go through all my scripts over and over again typing in 'property'.
Why doesn't it just compile to <<property>> if that's what I type and that's
what it needs to work, or conversely, why is it erroring when <<class>> is
what's typed before compilation?
I'd really appreciate an answer from someone who knows it. Even better would
be an indication from someone who knows (now we're down to 1 or 2 people) if
there's any chance of this getting fixed. Thanks in advance.
