This is actually a bug in the applet shell of applications compiled under AS
1.6. It causes the original event after the implicit "aevtoapp" to be ignored.
The scope is not limited to the "handle CGI request" event.

I think that script applications compiled under AS versions earlier than 1.6
should continue to work, so long as they are not recompiled under AS 1.6,
since the applet resources would have been assembled under the earlier AS
version.
