It's been like this since a long time. I filed a bug against it
around the time when PB 2.0 was still brand-spankin' new.
What you need to do to fix it is look up the "debugging-symbols"
option (I think it's with the C compiler settings) and un-check it
while the "deployment" build style is selected in the popup. If you
then go back to the list of build settings for "deployment", you'll
see it is now listed there with an unchecked checkbox.
