I believe that rounded text fields are sort of an offshoot of the
NSSearchField, and should be treated in a similar manner UI wise.

that is, they make sense when used in a toolbar type situation, and
when they're related to a search or find.

placeholders on the other hand could be used almost anywhere...

[demime 0.98b removed an attachment of type application/pkcs7-signature which had a name of smime.p7s]
