Cross Development and Cocoa-Java???

  • Subject: Cross Development and Cocoa-Java???

How does one develop a Cocoa-Java (actually mostly Obj-C Cocoa with a little Cocoa-Java) application with XCode and ensure that it will run on 10.1 and later. While trying to make sure my application was properly targeted to 10.1 I came across this note when upgrading my target to the new, native build system:

Java and AppleScript are not presently supported by native targets, so you should not upgrade targets which contain either of those languages.

So if I can't upgrade my target to use the new build system then I can't take advantage of cross development, right? But if I use Java in my application then I can't use the new build system so I can't use cross development. So how do I make sure my app will run on 10.1 and later when developing on Panther?

Has anyone else run into this issue?
