Chris, I only have floorf.3 in /usr/share/man/man3 (note the extra
'f'). If I type
troff -a floorf.3
I see
troff: can't open `man3/floor.3': No such file or directory
Any idea what's up? I confess that man has always 'just worked' and I
have never had reason to learn much about the mechanics.
Thanks!
Randy

I just upgraded yesterday, and remember commenting to my colleague
"Look, now there's a BSD SDK..." as the installer reported installing
it. So I know it's there. However, 'man floor' returns nothing.
/usr/share/man/man3/floor.3 is in BSD.pkg.
Is it a MANPATH problem?
The path for manual pages is partially constructed on the fly using
your
$PATH - see man manpath (if you can!) and /etc/manpath.config for
details.
On my box if PATH includes /bin, or /usr/bin, then /usr/share/man will
be
searched.
