Hi folks,
after an unscheduled downtime at the start of this month, zathras.de
is back up with a new design and some additional content:
-> UKDistributedView 0.4 - The Finder "Icon View" list view class.
Now includes an NSCell subclass that looks like the Finder's icons,
and is faster.
-> UKToolbarFactory - A simple class to drop into your NIBs to
quickly add toolbars to your window. Includes my set of toolbar icons.
-> Web Site Rules - An article with some observations on how to
improve the usability of web sites.
-> My Ideal OS Addendum - A few more thoughts and corrections about
the earlier article on that topic.
Apart from that, other stuff on zathras.de includes:
-> UKPrefsPanel - A simple class to drop into your app that adds a
toolbar to a window like in Safari's "Preferences". This toolbar can
then be used to switch between the different "pages" of your
Preferences. Nothing fancy.
-> UKProgressPanel - Two classes that implement a progress window
like the Finder has it for copying files.
-> UKSyntaxColoredTextDocument - Configurable class that implements
a syntax-colored text document. Pre-configured to do Objective C, can
be configured to do other similar languages easily, also a good
starting point for syntax coloring for other languages.
-> NiftyFeatures - UKUpdateChecker that allows users to check
whether new versions of your app are available, and, if desired,
opens the download web site in a browser, and UKFeedbackProvider that
opens a URL in the current browser where people can provide feedback
about the app.
-> How Memory Management works - An article explaining the basic
workings of heap memory for those who are still unclear about
pointers.
-> Uli's Moose - The officially sanctioned successor to the Talking Moose.
