App launch problem

Hi gang,

I have a curious problem. Yesterday I finally released my application, FontFX7, to the public, which was nice. What's not so nice is that I have a user who can't run it.

Now this guy is running 10.3.4 on a QuickSilver 1GHz DP G4 machine. He claims that he doesn't even get to see it in the dock when he double-clicks on it. No error log file gets left behind, and apparently there's no error box that pops up either.

My thoughts as to what could be causing this were duff permissions on his disk, or something like that, so I suggested running up OnyX and doing the tidy-up things, and also Disk Utility's Repair Permissions. No joy.

If you want to take a look and try it out for yourself the app can be downloaded from http://www.kagi.com/steve_sims/

Nobody else so far has complained that the app doesn't load, so this is a mystery to me. I don't know though if anyone has tried on a DP machine - I certainly haven't, but I can't think of a reason why that would cause a problem. In most respects it's a perfectly normal (10.3 only since it uses bindings) Cocoa app. The only minor addition I can think of is that it uses CDSA (security.framework), although I can think of no reason why this would cause problems.

Does anyone here have any suggestions as to what might cause this problem?

Thanks in advance,

Steve
