Because you have failed to provide the name of the app in question

Like many people on mailing lists, you seem to lack the ability to
provide a short conclusive response and find it necessary to
provide information that doesn't help trace the source of your
problem.
Your cloak and dagger of this conversation isn't helping you, I'm
confident that I can provide the source of distribution if I know
the name of the app in question and I am willing to discuss the
matter publicly on this list.
If you're looking for public help on this, I'm more than wiling to
assist for free, if you want private help, I'm certain there are
many private investigators who would be willing to assist you and
the yellow pages would be a place to locate one otherwise, write to
the list and I will respond to the list as soon as I obtain the
distribution information you are requesting.
You just took an off-list email and brought it on-list without
consent (at least it sure seems like that). That's usually Not
Cool, especially because he said (off-list) at the top, which means
he did it on purpose.
He wrote to the list publicly asking for assistance, I responded to
the list, there was nothing in his message that curtailed public
communication, his plea was a public one, had I responded privately I
would expect the communication to stay private.
Next time, please read emails before you reply to them. The FIRST
QUOTED LINE in your reply says (off-list).

Bob, I offered public assistance to his public plea, if he wanted
private he should have asked me publicly or ignored my offer of public
assistance.
I like things to be open, I value honesty, if you have questions for
me, ask and I will provide answers if I have them, I despise anyone
attempting any underhanded measures to obtain information about me and
would prefer they just be a man and come to me, for example, want my
personal information ask me to send it to you privately and I will,
don't ask to have it sent privately will result in me offering it to
you privately if you really want it, it's that simple.
I have been public about this conversation from the start, trying to
force me into a private discussion without asking me isn't cool either.
