A simple fix (for Apple <wink> <wink>) would be to add a Folder
Action Script that runs the needed command when a Spotlight plug-in
is added to the Spotlight plug-ins folder.
Also on that note a simple Apple Script could work as the installer
for a Spotlight plug-in; that way the user doesn't have to interact
more than double clicking the script. Just a thought.
Spotlight importers can reside within the application's bundle,
so this isn't going to help. Especially for drag and drop installs.
