It's not "supported", but it's not prevented either. You have to do the
work ("you'll also have to ensure you properly manage writing the file on
save").

OK, that answers it. That's what I was understanding from what I'd read but
it was just an odd omission to me. While I was going through my crash
course I was coming up with ways to incorporate it, and found the
architechture well suited.
Which brings us to the 3rd point: "What good workarounds, caveats, etc, have
you encountered using Core Data beyond these limitations." Is this something
worth pursuing? If so, what means have proven most successful?
