programmatically enable script menu

  • Subject: programmatically enable script menu

As you guys probably know, OS X provides a script menu item (if you enable it) that allows you to easily launch scripts.

Now, my application installs a little script that this script menu can use. However, as part of the installation, I'd like to enable the script menu if the user wants me to. I've found a way of finding out if the menu is enabled using AppleScript, but I cannot find any way of actually enabling it!

Among other things, I've had a look in the preferences file for the app, but there's nothing there, and I can't find the actual executable either!

Please help,
Mike.
