Assuming you have a driver for that particular scanner or it is implementing some sort of standard interface, probably the best way to start is to look over the docs: <file:///Developer/ADC Reference Library/referencelibrary/ HardwareDrivers/idxBluetooth-date.html#doclist>

You might also want to look at the utilities in /Developer/ Applications/Utilities/Bluetooth to examine the device and to see what packets it transmits when scanning a barcode.
