OK, it does not seem to revolve around anything in ~/Library . I got
rid of the complete ~/Library directory and logged back in (I
actually did a cold boot start as I also removed some stuff from
StartupItems in /Library and /System/Library -- WebObejcts,
FronTbase, OpenBase -- just in case).
I started mail, safari, ichat, xcode, and IB. IB still had the
issue. I quit XCode and IB (still running) loses the issue and
starts working.
Have not yet been able to reproduce on my intel mini.
Am going to try more extensive tests using a different login account
as my earlier testing may not have been sufficient.
