synthesised variables on 64-bit

  • Subject: synthesised variables on 64-bit

I'm trying to make use of http://developer.apple.com/documentation/Cocoa/Conceptual/ObjectiveC/Articles/chapter_5_section_7.html - but I'm not having any luck. Is there something I have to do other than setting the ARCHITECTURES setting to 32/64 bit? (I don't seem to have a 64-bit only setting.)

I'm using Xcode 3.1.
