Thanks for the reply. That thread is enlightening, but the problem I have is that I can't control how the iPhone data is persisted. I need to unarchive it on MacOSX and then re-encode it for use on iPhone. The data is all basic containers of type NSMutableDictionary. I was hoping that wouldn't be a problem.
