If the original poster is correct, it's a major oversight as there is no
escaping Colorsync on X. Everything drawn on the screen and printed gets
converted, it's just a matter of what profiles are used. If iPhoto is not
paying attention to profiles, it's displaying them incorrectly and printing
them incorrectly.

https://bugreport.apple.com/
You need an ADC account (free!) but that's it. I can attest from personal
experience that each bug logged is looked at by a real human and things do
get fixed.
