I think the point of most image cataloging software is just to be
able to see what images you're dealing with--not necessarily to be
able to view them accurately and edit them in a pro setting. All you
have to do for that is to link the opening of iPhoto images to
Photoshop. Another point--most images will be coming directly from
the camera where no profile would have been embedded. BTW, have you
tried any editing in iPhoto? Pretty lame.
