I'm trying to help out a friend who knows lees about color management than I
and that is very little.
He profiled his Apple Studio Display "17 with a Spyder and Photocal, but now
all he can't get PS (6) to display reds using a stock RGB working space. If
he selects his monitor profile he gets reds, but not a canned RGB space.
What he gets are reds that display as orange, and this includes going into
the color picker or Pantone colors, new documents or old.
Other applications work fine.
I'm stumped, any ides?

PS, even if this has nothing to do with the problem, am I correct that the
Studio Displays have internal calibration? If so do they require a different
approach with PhotCal? How do I assure that double profiles are not at play,
including Adobe Gamma, and the similar OS (he's on Apple 8.6) monitors
utility?
