Since you have not much to do with Win2k, I am suspect of the PC's monitor
profile, and whether PS6 is recognizing it properly. Check your list of
possible working spaces, and make sure "monitor RGB" pints to the profile
you created. I have seen this problem before, and haven't yet tracked down
why, but it may be dependent on your monitor calibration software. After
you calibrate your monitor, right-click your desktop and enter into its
"properties" settings ... and make sure 'advanced=>color management'
properly points to your profile. PS6 should now recognize the correct
monitorRGB, and compensate properly.
If this is indeed a PS6 for Win problem, I'll be following this thread
with interest (... and please don't slap me because this isn't a "colorsync"
issue ...<g>...).
