I actually think a walk through the practical is in order here. I have a very simple formula
for determining whether camera profiles work or not. How long do I need to fool with an image
to make a client happy. Our most recent profiles seem to have cut our editing time from an
average of 10 minutes per image to less than 2 on some and nothing on many. We can banter back
and forth about theory until we are all as blue in the face as Derrick is right now to no
avail. In the end all I care about is getting the color THE CLIENT THINKS IS RIGHT. If I get
that by using a camera profile REGARDLESS OF THE LIGHTING in my mind IT WORKS. I could care
less about theory, when the practical application just plain works. Perhaps all my clients, and
theirs are colorblind? hmmmmm
