We convert all of our documents to PDF and use Pitstop to preflight, but
we cannot seem to ID these files prior to output other than resaving all
Photoshop EPS files or opening the files in BBEdit and searching for
"whitepoint".
Does anyone know of a simpler method to spot these files, such as with
an Applescript or some other utility? <
Matthew, I know that preflight software such as Flightcheck can notify of
embedded screens or transfer curves - not sure if it has caught up will all
of the options in all formats like PS colour management in EPS though...but
there are a few different choices (flightcheck, preflight or others).
Pitstop is a PDF tool, is it not? The other preflight utilities are best
with native files, but some also handle PDF too, although you just want a
EPS solution.
Is there a way to disable the CRD in the RIP which is acting on the PSCM?
This is getting beyond my knowledge, so I will leave the list to answer any
finer points. And of course, client education on the supply of output ready
files always helps too.
Regards,
Stephen Marsh.
