I'm certainly no expert on the subject, but based on work I have done
with inkjet textile printing technology companies, a late binding
workflow ought to be best. Textile printing often involves numerous
colour channels (mix of process and spot) and colour management is based
on the current ink batch, so flexibility in targeting is key.
I've done some work with a company called DP Innovations who provide
textile printing systems, including a RIP for textile printing. You
