I am using the Sony Artisan (main monitor) and a G5 dual 2ghz, running OS 10.3.7. I also have second monitor connected. I have had this setup for over a year and everything was fine. About 3-4 months ago I noticed that my Artisan was not looking like is was calibrated. When I went into the prefs> displays> color, my profile was not selected. It just said GDM-C520 (this is the model of this monitor). If I open up the Artisan software, I can see that the profiles name is CRS Print RGB D5412103285. I can see that this profile is in with the other profiles, when I am looking in the prefs > displays > color, but is is not selected. If I look at my second monitor and look at prefs > displays > color, I can see that "CRS Print RGB D5412103285" is selected.
So if I disconnect my second monitor then look at prefs > displays > color, I now see "CRS Print RGB D5412103285". Then as soon as I connect the second monitor up again it will go back to the way it was, GDM-C520 for the main monitor and "CRS Print RGB D5412103285" for the second.
I have done a clean install (wiped my drive) of the OS and also the Artisan software, and it is still not working. I have switched the monitor around, and it still does not work. I have tried installing the Artisan software with only the Artisan connected, This will work, but as soon as I add the second monitor it goes back to not working properly.
On my main monitor, I can just go to prefs > displays > color, and select the appropriate profile. The only problem is, is the in the Artisan software, you can create different profiles, and when you switch profiles in the Artisan software, it is suppose to automatically change your profile in colorsync, and it will not do this for my main monitor. It does do this for the second monitor.
I have spoken with Apple and Sony, and neither has given me any help at figure this out. Any one have any ideas?
