Hmmm. I think I understand some of what you are commenting on in terms of
some and if that is the case it is only half of the story. While
applications like Monaco Proof ( and even Profiler and GMB Profilemker)
were made to interface to multiple measuring tools, both companies Gretag
and Xrite have chosen to create less expensive products. And ( to use your
words) both Gretag and Xrite are now using this closed approach. So the
Color Elite sw is really just like the Eyeone sw in this approach. Both
applications use a closed system so you cant interface a Spectrolino or a
dtp41 to them.
