I wouldn't go back to Epsons and there are a breeze to make custom profiles. And, no problem connected to Macs.

The iPF5100 will treat you very well. No problem building profiles. No idea about the canned ones though.

Canned profiles don't work so well with thermal print heads, but the iPF5100 with it's calibration capacity (not paper profiles) should help with using canned profiles.
