Eizo released a report (http://www.eizo.com./global/support/wp/pdf/wp_08-002.pdf

limited 2 degrees of most other calibration devices. Should I
instead invest in a ColorMunki?
My reading of this is that using a 10 degree observer calculation,
instead of a 2 degree observer is the change they are discussing, not
the actual field of view of the measurement devices. The Spyder3 has a
wider viewing angle than any of the X-Rite devices, actually... with
the exception of the Huey.
