Dear Klaus,

thanks for posting GaMapICC's new version! I think the new incarnation worth the wait.

As for Marco's objection I really see his point – at first, I had the very same feeling. Using GaMapICC we get a bit lighter image in comparison to Photoshop RelCol, and we loose some detail in the saturated shadows here and there (with 95% gamut protection). This may lead to disappoinment for sure.

But one has to perform a proper softproof to see the power of this code. After switching to "Proof Colors" and clicking "Preserve CMYK Numbers", "Paper White" and "Ink Black" the GaMap separated image looks better to me - a closer match to the original. With this setup the Photoshop converted image appears too dark – obviously, as Photoshop doesn't calculate with the paper's 'color', but GaMap somehow does.

My only question is that how to re-enter a new configuration? How to reset the settings?

Regards,
