Hello
I have a G5 with OS X panther installed.
i installed X11 from the apple website.
Later I installed fink.0.6.2 and fink commander 0.5.1.
Whenever I try to install anything from the list fink tries to also
install
the "xfree86-base threaded package" this causes the install to get
stuck.
This is especially weird as fink commander itself
has xfree86-base threaded version 4.2.1.1-1.6 marked as current.
I have also specifically gone to the sdk X11 package and installed it
this does not help.
so what is to be done?
thanks
Uri
ps a few other questions jump to mind:
1) how do I get the emacs that already exists in X11 to open a new
window when it is run
(and how do I work the buttons at the top of the window)?
2)how do I add apps to the applications button (in the doc) ?
