Hi Mathew,
current enlightenment 0.16.5-9 Installed by fink
I am using enlightenment as my windows manager. I have attached my
.xinitrc file so you can see how I start it.
I run X11 in full screen and I have three button mouse enabled.
Sometimes seems mainly when I use the mouse wheel to scroll the windows
in E when I return to MAC OS X all application windows are moved to the
last active virtual desktop.

Is this a known problem? Not sure where to report it.
VD doesn't really work with X11. They just released a 3.0 beta that
supposedly works with quartz-wm only, but I tried it out and it didn't
work very well at all. YMMMV.

Hi, Jerry.
I've checked our support tracking system, and I don't see any emails
from you, so if you could please let us know, in some detail, the
problems that you're having with X11 and CTVD Pro 3.0 Beta 1, that
would really help us out a lot. We are really trying to make the 3.0
release work as well as possible with Apple X11, and without feedback,
we won't be able to accomplish that goal. However, as of 3.0 Beta 1,
you can put windows on different desktops, activate X11 windows via
the pager, window list menu and FFM (CTVDs FFM, that is), and should
be able to switch desktops when activating X11 windows. In short, our
experience is that it works pretty well, but we aren't hardcore X11
users since moving to OS X. Therefore, it's critical that we get
feedback about any problems with X11 so that we can make it work.
Thanks!
As for the Enlightenment & Mousewheel issue, Gary, can you please let
us know what you're using so that we can replicate the situation and
try to solve it? We're working on supporting other window managers,
but don't really know how much success we'll have. Version numbers for
everything that you're using would be great!
I'd also like to let everyone know that this is a public beta, and
that you could really help us to make our virtual desktop product for
Mac OS X work with X11 as flawlessly as possible. If you are
interested in doing this, please take a look at
http://www.codetek.com/php/virtual_beta.php . I do check the daily
digests for mention of CTVD related emails, but may miss bug reports
to this list, so please, please, please write detailed bug reports to
the beta email address given in the download so they will be tracked
and answered. For those who aren't interested, I'm sorry to waste your
bandwidth... :)
