I use X11 locally on my Powerbook, but I do not use any remote systems that
run X. Intermitently when I move from my office to my home network, X
refuses to open any applications when my IP addrss has changed. I have
tried various settings in the X11 preferences security tab, but I still find
that sometimes I am unable to launch new X programs or to raise already
oppen applications. This is especially a problem because I use X mainly as
a way to keep XEmacs running all the time. But when the error occurs, I
cannot save any files in XEmacs (or any other X application) and can only
regain control by quitting the X11.app.
Is there a way around this?

A poem can act as a spell & vice versa--but sorcery refuses to be a metaphor
for mere literature--it insists that symbols must cause events as well as
private epiphanies.
