X is refusing to work when your hostname changes as a security measure. The
actual IP address shouldn't matter. The best fix is to modify your network
not to send a new hostname when you connect to it. I suppose there might be
a way to get OSX to ignore the new host name, but I haven't found it yet.

The same problem affects Linux laptops, and in principle should affect
anyone running an X server on a laptop on any operating system. Maybe Apple
can come up with a way around this problem that doesn't compromise security?
