Sorry to keep going on about this but -
If I do the following -
Start a gnome2 session with quartz-wm
- the top gnome menu panel is visible
- however all windows minimize to the MAC dock
Kill the quartz-wm
- loose all panels and window surrounds
start metacity
- gnome desktop panels and windows come back
- the top gnome menu panel is visible.
start quartz-wm --only-proxy
- allows cut and paste
Is there a way I can automate this process. I'm sure there must be a way
to get this to work.
Gary

Which version of X11 are you guys using, beta 0.1? I thought this
problem was fixed in beta 0.2. It is for fvwm2, in any case.
If the window manager uses Xinerama to find the screen edges, it will
work, otherwise it won't. Hopefully that should include most modern wm's.
