I've been using X11.app to play with some X programs and thought I
would play a bit more with the X11 environment in general.
One of the things I did in the days of XFree86 was run Mac OS X through
the console (enter the user name ">console" at the login window) and
run XFree86 as a "rooted" environment (or whatever you call a
non-rootless environment).
I tried the same thing using X11 in Panther and got a litany of errors.
Is it possible to run the X11 that comes with Panther as a "rooted"
environment? I searched the web and found a lot of really useful
information, but nothing specifically about this question.
