KDE & Panther X11 Question

I am considering going to Panther but before I do the upgrade I wanted to know if the KDE keyboard bug has been fixed for Kate, KWrite & KDevelop. The bug is that you cannot type in + key with any of these applications making them impossible to use for programming :[

KDevelop is available as a binary install from Fink.
