Thanks. That's a nice idea. Too bad Apple didn't just make
their X server able to find the fonts in the system location to
begin with. Our X server does this automatically, but it's a
Windows product, not an Apple one.
It's strange that it would have to extract the .ttf files from the
.dfont files. I believe Freetype 2 can read dfont files directly.
Although a dfont file can contain multiple fonts and I don't know
how you specify which one. I seem to recall it was something
like "times.dfont;1" "times.dfont;2"
