Hi
My Homedir is on a Linux Box - mounted via NFS.
If I try to Install the "Leopard X11 Update 2.1.1" it says that it
isn't
possible to install from a Network Volume.
It is no big problem, I can move the Package to a "normal" Volume, but
other Packages work on Network Volumes.
So if this easily fixed, please fix it :)
This is a known bug in the OS X Installer:
AdminAuthRequired packages end up with pax running as root.
The root user is almost always remapped to the 'nobody' user when
accessing a network volume.
Therefore, the package really isn't readable by the installer in
this situation.
So, if you feel like it, file a bug against the OS X Installer. :)
