Yes, copy and paste works for me. First let me comment on my original note. After reading Jeremy's response that nothing has changed in the last few releases, I looked further into the autocutsel's behavior. It turns out that it works correctly only on local xterms. As soon as I have a remote xterm, I must use cmd-c to copy selected text from xterm. Once I select text using cmd-c, autocutsel stops working also for local xterms and I have to use cmd-c from that point on.
Anyway, cut and paste using cmd-c and cmd-v works for me (in xterm or rxvt) quite well. Of course, pasting to xterm must be done using the middle mouse button. I don't know about you, but I have 'Emulate three button mouse' selected in the
X11.app preferences and I use USB-Overdrive to send the correct key strokes when pressing the middle and right mouse buttons. Hope this helps.

Xquartz. My setup for X11 initiation includes launch of 'autocutsel'.
'autocusel' copies the selected text in the X window's primary buffer to
OSX clipboard. Before I was able to simply highlight text in the X window
and paste it to any OSX application using cmd-v. Now I have to explicitly
use cmd-c in the X window to make a selection that can be pasted to OSX
applications. It appears that 'autocusel' does not function any more.
Would it be possible to retain the original behaviour, which worked with
'autocutsel', in addition to the cmd-c method?
You have cut and paste? I don't have any cut and paste working at all between X and Mac, but I'm on 2.1.0.1 and I'm working in an Xephyr window to get full screen(ish). I'm running autocutsel, and I wasn't going to say anything until I had time to upgrade to the latest and test again.
But I would REALLY like it to work. I just bodged a fix to get my tiger-fink compiled firefox working under X (by copying in a tiger /etc/fonts dir) as a stop gap. So to be clear, neither highlight nor cmd-c nor X11 menu get anything over to a Terminal window, nor even into a xterm window running outside of Xephyr. And nothing I've found works in the reverse direction either :-(
I haven't exhaustively played with the X11 preferences yet though.
