Hi all.

I have also been experiencing a bit of X11 freezing (and resulting in a indefinitely spinning beach ball) while using a piece of software (CCPNMR analysis). This program uses graphics that can be rendered by Open GL or TK graphics. When using TK graphics, I don't ever experience the freezing problem. However, if I render the graphics using Open GL, Xquartz will freeze up at some point that is never the same. This makes it hard to diagnose the problem.

I have mentioned this before, but I just stumbled upon the TK/OpenGL difference and I thought that it might be useful for these other problems.
