okay,
I used textedit and made the .gtkrc-2.0 file with the only line
being: gtk-font-name = "geneva 12". Saved it as plain text in my home
directory.
Unfortunately I don't see any difference at all when I launch
gnucash. Any ideas?
(BTW--I did try to install control-center via Fink but got errors and
was unsuccessful.)
Cheers,

Where do I put the .gtkrc-2.0 file?
Your home directory is always the obvious place for such files.
This is why the name starts with a dot: Otherwise your home directory
would look cluttered with configuration files.
