Warnings disable build commands

When I get a compiler warning, the build commands (their toolbar buttons and their menu items) are disabled, and I can't figure out how to re-enable them without closing and re-opening the project. Advice welcome.

And BTW, when will the list archives be searchable? Or am I missing something? The Search Archives link on the web page takes one to a page listing searchable archives; this list is not on the page.
