This will probably make me sound repetitive, but I'm going to say
this again: If someone can manipulate your source of random numbers,
you are...I believe the technical term is "screwed".
Worrying about someone altering the behavior of random() is like
worrying about someone breaking into your home and rearranging the
furniture. Moving your comfy chair around is the last thing they'll
do as they leave your pilfered home.
